  1. To be fair, I don't know that much about any of the characters on here. From what I've seen, Niccolo is supposed to be quite tragic but I don't know like anything about him so I can't really vote.

However, a character of mine who seems to be getting a lot of sympathy is Sophia Keating from my Mass Effect story, if I'm allowed to vote for her.

If not, I'll vote for Niccolo. But to be fair I don't know anything about the characters on here. I haven't seen a bio or anything so...

  2. Niccolò.

    Definitely.

    No question.

  3. See, I'm trying to consider the tragic nominations in the context of the genre of tragedy- so there's a tragic hero with some admirable quality, who has some reversal of principle or world view that leads into the hero's downfall. I'm pretty sure I'm explaining this horribly- but, one of the main points is that the audience feels pity and fear, because the hero has some great or relatable quality that evokes sympathy in the audience, and the fear comes because the hero suffers for a mistake they could see themselves making. I don't know whether or not that changes anyone's thinking about the issue.
I think Niccolò qualifies as a tragic character by that definition, although I didn't have it in mind at all in my writing.

But I nominate Hassle Precocious, because even if his idea of the right thing was something we considered wrong, he did suffer for trying to do his idea of the right thing, and he's totally lost his mind and body- it's sort of pathetic, really, and I mean that in a sympathetic way- and the punishment we faced is one I would consider a far greater evil than the crime he committed. Which is one respected type of tragic plot. And I do feel for him, really. So, Hassle.

  4. Niccolò. Its his story that could reduce one into some form of an emotional state.

But, again, I don't know much about the other characters, so...

  6. Apparently my comment here never posted...

    ...

I want to nominate Lorelei, from the demons plot. I don't think most people will know who that is, but I really want to put her on here anyway.
